Flint, Mich., December 7. - MRS. RACHAEL ANN ALTHOUSE, an old and respected resident of Flint, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dr. HOLLAND, of this city. Her death was the result of an apopletic stroke sus- tained last Friday, after which she never regained consciousness. She was born in Oswego, N. Y., in 1828. Was married to WHEELER C. ALTHOUSE, of Oswego, and came to Michigan in 1864, where she has since resided. Three children survive her - CLARENCE W. ALTHOUSE, of Detroit; Mrs. H. C. HILL, of Ithaca, and Mrs. Dr. HOLLAND, of Flint. Mrs. ALTHOUSE had always been active in charitable work, was a most devout Christian, and had a large circle of friends both in Detroit and Flint. ===========================================================================
