Special to The State Journal Eaton Rapids, Nov. 15. - The body of HIRAM DISBROW, 72, riddled by a shotgun charge, was found yesterday afternoon in the upstairs bedroom of his farm home five miles northwest of here on the Charlotte road. Coroner Harold Pettit said DISBROW had committed suicide, apparently because of despondency over ill health. Dr. A. G. Sheets, Eaton Rapids physician who ws called to the scene, said the suicide had occurred 10 hours earlier. The coroner said no inquest would be necessary. MRS. DISBROW, who occupied a down-stairs bedroom, told officers she had thought nothing of it when her husband failed to come down in the morning, because he had not been in the habit of arising early. When she failed to hear him moving about in the afternoon, however, she became alarmed and discovered the body at 4 o'clock, officers said. She then called Dr. Sheets and Deputy Sheriff Roy Haun of Eaton Rapids. Surviving are the widow, EVA; one step-daughter, Mrs. EVA OVERY of Albion, and a brother, PETER DISBROW of Eaton Rapids. The body was removed to the Pettit and Rice funeral home here to await funeral arrangements. ===========================================================================
