THE FARGO BOYEL MINE employs seven men. It has a natural venti- lation. Thickness of the vein of coal, 22 inches; has a good sand- stone roof. Mr. Boyel is the father of the coal industry around Grand Ledge. He opened a mine here eighteen years ago. THE SEWER PIPE COAL MINE has only been in operation three months. Manager, Clyde Earl. This mine is located near the sewer pipe and tile factory. Thickness of the vein of coal is eighteen inches. Sandstone roof. THE WRIGHT MINE is a small mine, near the Grand river. It employs but a few men. Has a natural ventilation. The thickness of the vein of coal is eighteen inches, with a sandstone roof. Manager, Eben Wright. THE ALLEN MINE is located on the banks of the Grand river. Employs six men. Thickness of vein of coal, 18 inches. Sandstone roof, and a natural ventilation. Manager, Vern Allen. THE EAGLE MINE, manager Frank Reed. The mine employs six men. It is a shaft opening. Has a natural ventilation. Thickness of the vein of coal is two feet.
