                              CRAWFORD

        Infirmary in the village of Grayling, the county seat.  Is a com-
     bined residence and infirmary but very small and in bad repair and
     without any conveniences; is unworthy of the county.  The county has
     purchased a fine site east of the village and contemplates erecting a
     building.  At present the keeper rents the house and cares for the
     inmates under contract.
