BLISS, an old resident of this city and Riley township, died Friday at his home at Long Beach, Cal. The body will be brought back here for funeral services being planned for next Thursday at 1 p.m. at the home of his niece, MRS. H. T. DAVENPORT, 223 S. Walnut st. MR. BLISS was born in 1839. He served in the Civil War and at the close married HELEN JONES and moved to a farm in Riley township. He later moved to Lansing, where he lived for 15 years. He has lived in Cali- fornia for the past 30 years. He is survied by a brother, HENRY W. BLISS, living on the old home- stead, in Riley, and by five sons, four of Detroit and one of Long Beach. Rev. Ashworth will officiate at the services here. ==============================================================================
