BLISS, 94, Succumbs at St. Johns MRS. BLISS at Gunnisonville Special to the State Journal: St. Johns, April 20 - HENRY W. BLISS, 94, and his wife, MARY, 84, residents of Riley township, both died Thursday night. MRS. BLISS died at the home of the grandson, ALLIE STANTON, in Gunnisonville at 6 o'clock, and MR. BLISS died at the St. Johns Mem- orial hospital at 9 o'clock. Double funeral services will be held at the Osgood Funeral home in St. Johns Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Julia Walton, of Jackson, officiating. MRS. BLISS will be buried in Alma and MR. BLISS in the Riley cemetery. MR. BLISS, an early pioneer resident of the vicinity, was born in Bennington, Vt., and moved to Riley in 1857. In 1858 he was married to CLARISSA WILSON who died in 1916. In 1917 he was married to MRS. MARY BIRD. Until last fall the aged couple lived on a 200 acre farm in Riley township. ===============================================================================
