R. MARKHAM, in Homer, on the 6th. He had been for some time gradually failing, till finally vitality left his feet and limbs, and gangrene ensued to such an extent and for so long a time that the flesh sloughed off. He literally died by degrees. About a week ago he was for some time supposed to be dead, but his strong constitu- tion rallied again, and since then he has been unable to take food or drink, except as the latter was poured into his mouth and swallowed with great difficulty. Nature finally gave out and he died. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Cook's Prairie. ===============================================================================
