W. WELLS died suddenly in spasms on Thursday. Its age was about 1 year and 8 months. MRS. WELLS was in Chicago at the time, and returned in response to a telegram. The funeral services occurred yesterday, from the house. MRS. JOHN KEPPLER, who has been a sufferer from consumption fore some time, died here on Thursday aged 53 years. She was a native of Germany. Her husband survives her. MRS. KEPPLER was a kindly lady, a good wife and neighbor. Her funeral will occur this afternoon at 2, from the Congregational Church. Saturday morning last, B. F. WOOD, a brother of MRS. THOMAS MARS, who has lived with his sister's family for several years, went to the barn to care for a bull he had raised and pet- ted from a calf. The animal was confined in a large box stall, but seems not to have been chained at the time. MR. WOOD evidently had a struggle with the brute in the stall, as his hat and shoe were found there, but got out and fastened the door and there fell and was found not long after. He was not gored but was terri- bly crushed and bruised and unable to give any account of what had happened. He died Sunday afternoon. MR. WOOD was a native of New York, in his 75th year, and had lived in this village and vicinity most of the time for about 35 years. - Berrien Springs Era. ========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ==========================================================================
