H SAILORS BELIEVED LOST TWO BERRIEN BOYS LISTED AS MISSING AT PEARL HARBOR Two twin city boys, both serving in the United States Navy, have been officially reported as missing by the Navy department in Washington, following the Japancese at- tack on Pearl Harbor, December 7. LOUIS E. HARRIS, JR., 21, was reported missing in a telegram received yesterday by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. LOUIS E. HARRIS, Route No. 1, Benton Harbor. He is their only child. LOUIS, who enlisted in the regular navy in November, 1940, as a musician, second class, graduated from the Benton Harbor high school in 1938 where he had been active as a member of the band, orchestra and other musical groups. Mr. and Mrs. FRED E. GRAHAM, Route No. 1, Benton Harbor, received a telegram this morning to the effect that their son, WESLEY E. GRAHAM, first class seaman, U.S. Navy, is also reported as missing. The telegram stated that GRAHAM was missing following action in Pearl Harbor while on duty in the service of the U.S. Navy. GRAHAM, who is 21 years old, enlisted in the regular navy in June, 1940. WESLEY'S younger brother, ERNEST O. GRAHAM, who had been stationed on the same ship with him in Hawaii until recently, arrived home last night on a 10-day furlough from his duties in the Navy. ERNEST was transferred before the Japanese attack on December 7. TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: Wesley E. Graham was serving aboard the USS Okalahoma at the time of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. His remains were identified in 2021 and returned to Michigan for burial. He rests in Fort Custer National Cemetery near Augusta. ===============================================================================
