NANCY BARD, of St. Joseph, temporarily residing, during the berry season, on a place south of Benton Harbor, on Wednesday night shot a fellow named H. HARVICK, who was attempting to come into her house against the woman's wishes. The weapon used was a double-barrel shot- gun and the charge took effect in the man's bowels. Dr. JOHN BELL is attending him.
