C. DUDLEY, who was in the boot and shoe business in St. Joseph in Dr. RAY'S building, last year, and while here married MISS EDITH KENNEY, of Benton Harbor, who at one time was in the employ of GEO. S. COMINGS' family, proves to be a bigamist. He had a wife and children living in New York State at the time he married MISS KENNEY. As soon as the latter discovered this fact - accidentally, some weeks ago - she came home. DUDLEY, who was then in New York, on his return West followed her here on Wednesday last, when he was arrested by Deputy Sheriff KENNEDY, of Benton Harbor, and lodged in jail in that place to await examination on the charge of bigamy. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- St. Joseph Herald Saturday, October 20, 1888 The bigamist, T. C. DUDLEY, has been sentenced to Jackson prison for four years. =========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ===========================================================================
