The bullet in her side would have caused instant death had it not been for a corset steel. WILLIAMS then undertook to take his own life. He was found in his room at 3 o'clock in the morn- ing in a half stupor. The woman will die. Her assailant was taken to her home and identified. There was talk of lynching him. ==========================================================================
