Wednesday, 1 October, 1873

         WALLACE YOUNG, foreman of the Keystone salt works at
       Bay City, was drowned in the river there on Sunday. He
       had been out sailing in the bay, a squall struck his
       boat, overturning it, and he, being unable to swim, was
       drowned. He leaves a wife who at the time was East at
       the bedside of a dying brother.
