COOLEY, lawyer, died today at Bay City hospital after an illness of a few days. He was born at Adrian May 30, 1852, and gradu- ated from the literary department of the Univer- sity of Michigan in the class of 1872, and in 1873 from the law department. That year he came to Bay City and later joined the firm of Marston, Hatch & Cooley. MR. COOLEY was a son of the late THOMAS M. COOLEY, for years chief justice of the supreme court of Michigan. He represented some of the largest in- terests in the Saginaw valley. He was married in 1876 to Miss ADELE SEYMOUR, of Flint. MRS. COOLEY died in 1888 and her hus- band later married Miss LOUISA FITZHUGH, of this city, who died six months after their marriage. Three brothers, E. F. COOLEY, of Lansing, Dr. C. B. COOLEY of Detroit, and CHARLES H. COOLEY of Ann Arbor, and two sisters, Mrs. ALEXIS AN- GELL and Mrs. MAY KING of Detroit, survive him, besides four children. ===============================================================================
