         Middleville, Mich., July 3. - JOHN J. WADD, 72,
       a wealthy West Thornapule (sic) farmer  yesterday
       was found hanging from a rafter in his barn by his
       son, BERNARD.
         MR. WADD attempted suicide last fall by cutting
       his throat with a jacknife but was rushed to a
       Grand Rapids hospital and his life saved. He was
       a director of the Farmers State Bank here for 
       several years.
