THORP, for many years a resident of this city, died at his home in Middleville, Mich., last Thursday afternoon and will be buried there tomorrow. He was the son of the late JOHN THORP, who years ago conducted a vinegar factory at Trum- bull and Michigan avenues. Up to twelve years ago MR. THORP made his home in this city, and then accepted a position as a traveling salesman. Three years ago ill health compelled him to retire and he purchased a fruit farm at Middleville. He was 52 years of age and is survived by his widow and seven children, his mother, MRS. REBECCA THORP, four sisters and two brothers. MRS. THORP, who lives with three daugh- ters at 241 Woodland avenue, has been a resident of Detroit for the last sixty years. ===============================================================================
