JOHN, 94, Until Recently Was Very Active and Frequently Joined in the Sports of Small Boys of City PATRICK ST. JOHN, 94, a well known resident of this city, died at his home in the St. John hotel, in East Jackson street, about 9:30 o'clock last night. MR. ST. JOHN had been ill only a few weeks and despite his age, death was not fully expected. He had resided in this city for over ten years, during which time he had become well known. MR. ST. JOHN was probably one of the most ac- tive men for his age that ever lived in this city. It was a known fact that whenever he heard music he could not resist dancing. Last fall he would go out in front of the hotel and play football with the small boys of the neighborhood. He was a lover of books and many nights he would sit in the lobby of the hotel and read until a late hour. He never used glasses. MR. ST. JOHn was born in Ireland. He came to this country when but a young man. Until a little over ten years ago he was engaged in farming at Hastings, Mich. The deceased is survived by two sons, FRANK ST. JOHN, of this city, and DR. JOHN ST. JOHN, of Kalamzaoo, Mich., and two daughters, MRS. LIZZIE RINKERS, of Hastings, Mich., and MRS. BERTIE MILGROVE, of Kalamazoo, Mich. The body will be taken to his former home in Hastings at 9 o'clock this morning. The funeral services and burial will be at that place. ===============================================================================
