Fort Lauderdale (FL) News
1 March 1927

         MRS. SYLVIA A. JOY, 66, died at about
       11 o'clock Monday night at her residence
       in Pompano after an illness of nearly
       eight months. She is survived the the
       widower, E. J. JOY, and three children,
       two of which are in Hastings, Mich., and
       one in Pompano. The body will be sent to
       Hastings for interment and funeral ser-
       vices will be held there. The family came
       to Pompano from Hastings, Mich., about 
       one and one-half years ago.
