                           DIED IN THE ASYLUM
                           
                      PETER PETERSON, Taken to the 
                       Newberry Asylum a Few Days
                          Ago, Died Wednesday.
                          
              Word was received Thursday from the insane 
            asylum authorities at Newberry that PETER
            PETERSON died at the institution Wednesday
            evening. MR. PETERSON'S home was about five
            miles west of Baraga and he was taken to the
            asylum two weeks ago. His condition was in-
            deed pitiful, as he was also totally blind.
              Deceased was about 60 years of age and
            leaves a widow and several children. The
            remains reached Baraga Friday morning and
            the funeral was held from the M. E. church
            at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
