MRS. CATHERINE MAYO was born in Phoenix, Keweenaw County, Sept. 29, 1872 and on July 13, 1885, became the wife of GEORGE MAYO. To this union seven children were born, namely GEORGE, MAMIE, JOHN, HELEN, CARRIE, LESLIE, and an infant, the fore part of the week, whose death is chronicled in another portion of this issue. Besides a husband and the above named children, she is survived by three sisters, MRS. CHRISTOPHER TUCKER, of Laurium, MRS. GEORGE DORHMAN, of Iron Mountain, and MRS. SAMUEL O'BLENS, of Norway. The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Sacred Heart church, Rev. Fr. Henn officiating. Interment in the Catholic cemetery. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE MAYO died suddenly Wednesday afternoon.
