The L'Anse Sentinel
February 14, 1903

              
              MRS. AMANDA ANDERSON died at the Newberry asylum
            for the insane Friday of last week. The deceased
            was the wife of H. ANDERSON, of this village, and
            was 54 years of age. The remains were received at
            Marquette Saturday where they were given interment.
            MRS. ANDERSON had been an inmate of the Newberry
            institution for several months, and besides her
            husband she is survived by three daughters resid-
            ing in Marquette.
