         The body of an Indian named WABOOS, an old denizen
       of Elk Rapids, was found floating in the bay at that
       place on the 30th ult. He is supposed to have been
       murdered, as he was in a nude state when found, and
       there was two gashes on his head and neck, either of
       which would have caused death.
