Two burglars were arrested at Au Sauble on Monday, who had a kit of burglar tools in their possession. It is said that they had been prowling about this city recently. M. Macartney started for Detroit yesterday, taking R. McGillis with him, charged on selling liquor without a license. Early Friday morning, while Policeman Sheridan was attempting to arrest a negro, named George Brown, for disturbing the peace, he was stabbed in the left side, receiving an ugly wound. Brown then ran, but the officer pursued and captured him after shooting him twice, once in the shoulder and once in the abdomen. Both men are dangerously hurt. =========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ===========================================================================
