                  Munising Mayor is Recalled
           
        Munising - In one of the hottest contested elections
      ever held in the upper peninsula, THOS. SULLIVAN, Satur-
      day was "recalled" from office as mayor of Munising by
      a majority of 98.
        His successor is DR. G. A. TRUSMAN. SULLIVAN was
      elected January 1, when the city adopted a commission
      form of government, and is the first mayor in Michigan
      to be recalled. There were five arrests for illegal
      voting.
