Deputy State Oil Inspector Missing Several Days. "A. F. HOWARD, deputy state oil inspector of Munising reported as lost in the woods Wednesday morning while hunting was found seven miles south- west of Chatham late Saturday alive, and as well as could be expected. He had made his way to an old hay stack, had laid down, and being in a complete exhausted con- dition, had given up his effort to find his way out of the wilderness. His wife is in Alma, where his daughters are attending college." The above was clipped from the Detroit Journal of last Monday. MRS. HOWARD had been notified by telegram of the search being made for her husband and also when he had been found. She has since received word that he is recovering from his ex- perience. ==========================================================================
