EMMA C., wife of MR. FRANK B. GRIFFIN, and daughter of LEVI C. CALDWELL, esq., all of Sherman, died in Fort Fairfield recently, of quick consump- tion, while on a visit to that town. She was taken with hemorrhage of lungs about the 20th day of No- vember last and steadily failed to the time of her death. Her remains were brought to Sherman for interment. Impressive funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. I. C. Bumpus, at the Congregational church, of which she was a consistent, devoted member. She leaves a husband, a son five years old, parents and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
