MARY CALLAHAN died last Friday. This was the girl who re- fused to have her leg amputated to save her life. At one time some hope was entertained for her recovery, but her injuries were too severe, and medical skill proved powerless to save her, after two weeks unremitting attention, sometimes hopeful and sometimes despairing. ===========================================================================
