Workmen are now busily engaged in removing the ruins of the Pemberton Mill, the site of which is to be entirely cleared of rubbish by the first of April, ready for rebuilding. On Thursday last, the workmen, while engaged in removing the rubbish around the tall chimney, came upon the body of one BAILEY, an English- man, who has been missing since the disaster. He was employed in the lower room, and it was supposed by his friends that his body had been entirely consumed. It was found in a good state of preservation, and as it bore no marks of violence, it is supposed that he suffocated. He leaves a wife and one or two children. Quite a number of those who were most severely wounded are still confined to their beds, and are supported from the funds in the hands of the Relief Committee. (Transcriber's Note: JOSEPH BAILEY was among those listed as missing after the Pemberton Mill disaster on January 10, 1860.) ===========================================================================
