I was very happy to hear from you again. Your letters are ever welcome by me. I can ever read them with interest. I feel sorry for Melissie to think she got so badly hurt by going to the Circus but I hope it will not prove very serious I am sorry to hear that hands are so scarce that you have to work in the field but I hope you may one day see the time that [page 2] you will not have to work out doors but enjoy your self in a home of your own and that you may enjoy your self as long as you live for I know you deserve a happy life. We have got our Horses and expect to leave here in a day or two. There is no news to write that will interest you and as it is getting verry late I will have to close My health is very good at present I think I can stand the service one year longer. That will not be very long and then I hope to enjoy the rest of my life in a quiet home. As it is very Late I am obliged to close. Accept my Best respects From your Coz A. E. Swap
