Lansford Lane, 55 years of age, died at 1:45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at
his residence, 23rd and Poplar streets, of Bright's disease.

Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, four daughters and four sons.

Mr. Lane, who at one time operated a livery stable in Terre Haute, was a
member of the I.O.O.F.  He was prominent in politics and was at one time a
candidate for nomination before the Democratic convention for the office of
sheriff.

Interment will be at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
