Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, four daughters and four sons. Mr. Lane, who at one time operated a livery stable in Terre Haute, was a member of the I.O.O.F. He was prominent in politics and was at one time a candidate for nomination before the Democratic convention for the office of sheriff. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant cemetery. ===========================================================================
