MARIA KIRKPATRICK passed away Sunday morning at her apartments, 614 Ferry street. Her demise followed an illness of more than two years and was caused by a complication of diseases. She was the second daughter of WILLIAM and LYDIA BRYANT, of near Clark's Hill, pioneer settlers. Mrs. KIRKPATRICK was born August 24, 1854 and was married to FRANKLIN P. KIRKPATRICK on September 21, 1875. To this union three children were born, two of whom survive, WILLIAM W. KIRKPATRICK, an attorney at Houston, Tex., and JOHN F. KIRK- PATRICK, who resides near Clark's Hill. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. MARY TAYLOR and Mrs. ANNA CLARK, of Clark's Hill, and Mrs. D. BELLE JENKINS, of this city. She was a member of the Christian church and greatly interested in its welfare. Mrs. KIRK- PATRICK took a deep interest in young people, and many young men and women owe their suc- cess to her kindly advice and generosity. The funeral cortege will leave the apartments at 614 Ferry street Tuesday at noon and services will be conducted in the Christian church at Clark's Hill at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the Clark's Hill cemetery. ==========================================================================
