E. P. HAMMOND Set for Thursday - Members of the Bar Chosen Pallbearers The funeral of Col. E. P. HAMMOND will be conducted at the residence, Eleventh and South streets, Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. The members of the Grand Army of the Republic and Women's Relief Corps will each conduct their ritualistic service, and Dr. ALBERT C. DUDLEY, of the Central Presbyterian church will preach. The funeral cortege will leave Lafayette at 2 o'clock over the Monon railroad for Rensselaer, where interment will be made in the family ceme- tery. The members of the Tippecanoe County Bar association met Wednesday morning to take action on the death of Col. HAMMOND. It was decided that the members would attend the funeral in a body and a volunteer escort will accompany the remains to Rensselaer. A committee composed of CHARLES R. MILFORD, GEORGE D. PARKS and Captain A. O. BEHM was appointed to draft resolutions and the mem- orial meeting will be held on Saturday morning, February 7, at 9 o'clock. The honorary pall bearers will be Hon. J. L. CALDWELL, Hon. H. H. VINTON, DAN W. SIMS, DANIEL FRASER, of Fowler, GEORGE P. HAYWOOD, SR., CHARLES R. MILFORD and W. V. STUART. The active pall bearers will be ALLISON E. STUART, CHARLES A. BURNETT, CHARLES H. STUART, ARTHUR CURTIS and BROWN BROCKENBROUGH. ==========================================================================
