                   THOMAS FORDING, a member of the Indiana State
                 Soldiers' Home, died there Monday night at 10
                 o'clock, his demise resulting from influena. He
                 was born in Ohio in 1840 and entered the home in
                 June, 1918. His wife, who was not a member of
                 the home, died recently and he is survived by
                 one daughter, Mrs. PEARL PLATT of Portland, Ore.
                 Funeral arrangements will be announced when 
                 she arrives.
