BAER who died recently, his will which was admitted to probate Wednesday in the circuit court directing such a disposition of the property, which is valued at between $75,000 and $100,000. The principal beneficiary is the Children's home to which institution Mr. BAER bequeathed a farm of 175 acres near Ash Grove in this county. The First Baptist church of Lafayette, the First Christian church of Lafayette, the West Side Baptist and West Side Methodist churches, the Battle Ground Methodist church and the Flower Mission of Lafayette are the other beneficiearies. PROPERTY TO CHURCHES The will provides that the ground now occupied by the Stader coal yard on North Third street, known as lot 72, original plat of Lafayette, go to the First Baptist church, also the church to receive $300 in cash. The First Christian church, the West Side Baptist church and the West Side Methodist church are each to receive $300 in cash and the Battle Ground M. E. church is to receive $400 in cash. The rest and residue of the estate after all bequests have been paid is to be turned over to the First Christian church. INCOME FOR WOMAN The instrument provides that $75 is to be put in trust with the Springvale Cemetery association, the interest to go to the care and upkeep of the family lot. The sum of $1,400 is also placed on deposit with the Lafayette Loan and Trust company for the use of MARTHA J. L. STRETCH, who for many years kept house for the deceased and the board of managers of the Children's home and the trustees of the First Baptist church are to pay her $2 per week each during her life time. FLOWER MISSION The executor is directed to sell the BAER homestead known as lot 71, original plat of Lafayette, and the proceeds are to go to the Flower Mission of Lafayette for the furtherance of the charitable work being car- ried on. The Lafayette Loan and Trust company is named as executor. ==========================================================================
