              Mr. HARVEY JOHNSON, who has for a long time
            been a sufferer from consumption, died at his
            residence in this place on Monday morning,
            March 18, 1878. Mr. JOHNSON was an old settler,
            having come to Steuben county in 1835 and set-
            tled upon a farm near Lake Gage, and which he
            still owned at the time of his death. For the
            last three  years he has been a resident of
            Angola, during which time he has been engaged
            in the lumber trade. He was honored and respect-
            ed by all who knew him and in his death our com-
            munity looses a good citizen. His age was 66
            years and 21 days.
