                 DIED.
                 
                 BRODE -   Near Angola, Feb. 20, 1878
                           FREDERICK BRODE; aged 73 years
                         
                 STEWART - At Fremont, Ind., Feb. 21. 1878
                           ROBERT C. STEWART; aged 55 years and 1 month
                           
                           The deceased was born in Cayuga Co., N. Y., and
                           came to this county when eighteen years of age.
                           In July, 1845, he was united in marriage with
                           ANN ELIZA McNAUGHTON, of Ray, Ind., with whom
                           he lived until death called her away in 1865,
                           leaving a family of five children. In 1866 de-
                           ceased married JANE BACON who by his death is
                           left a widow. Four of his children have preceded
                           him to the grave. LIBBIE McNABB by the first,
                           and three infant children by the second marr-
                           iage. A good citizen has been taken from our
                           midst, one who was always ready to contribute
                           to assist the poor and relieve the suffering.
                           A true friend, an indulgent father, and a lov-
                           ing husband has been called home. Services were
                           held at the M. E. church at Fremont, Rev. John
                           French officiating, which were attended by a
                           large congregation of friends and relations of
                           deceased.
