On investigation, he admitted to PETER STINSON that he did take the anvil and went with him to an old straw stack where they found the article, as he had represented. Young CRUSON was then formally arrested and brought before Justice SQUIER, of this place, where, waiving an exami- nation, he was placed under bond of $300 to ap- pear at the next term of the circuit coart. His father having signed the bond, the prisoner was set at liberty, and we understand he soon after left home and his whereabouts is at present unknown. ==========================================================================
