Coleman, 67 years old, farmer of Jackson township, died at his home Sunday. He had been critically ill for the past week and his death was not unexpected. Prior to that time he was in his usually good health and visited friends and relatives in the city as late as two weeks ago. Mr. Coleman was the father of Russell Coleman, former chief of police of Greencastle and now a member of the department. Other survivors include the widow, Mrs. Eva M. Coleman, three sons, Howard, Indianapolis, Ross, Detroit, Maurice, Mooresville and two daughters, Mrs. Howard Brown, Greencastle and Mrs. Velma Hendricks, Crawfordsville. Mr. Coleman was born and spent much of his life in Marion township. He was the son of Jerome and Mary Hazelett Coleman. He was united in marriage to Miss Grace Reeves in 1903. She died in 1912 and he was remarried to Miss Eva May Hodge, who with the five children and 12 grandchildren survive. Mrs. John Detrich is a sister and Mrs. Addie Coleman, a sister-in-law. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Fillmore prior to moving his membership to Roachdale and was also a member of the Odd Fellows lodge at Mt. Meridian. Friends may call at the Rector Funeral Home. The funeral will be held from the Christian Church in Fillmore, of which the deceased was a member, on Tuesday at 3 o'clock, with burial in the Fillmore cemetery. ===========================================================================
