Battey & Co., Pub., Chicago - 1882 -348- JOHN BAUM was born in Crawford County, Penn., January 20, 1810; he was brought by his parents to Stark County, Ohio, and thence to St. Joseph County, Mich., where on the 15th of August, 1835, he was married to MYRUM GALLGHER, a native of Culpepper County, Va., where she was born January 1, 1814. This union was blessed with five children - CHRISTOPHER C. (deceased), AMERICUS (deceased), NAPOLEON, TENNESSEE M. and NILES L.
