Whitis Sept. 11, 1928 - March 15, 2000 PLAINFIELD Edwina Josephine Whitis, 71, Plainfield, died Wednesday at Plainfield Health Care Center. Born in Bedford, she was the daughter of Henry and Avis (Toliver) Day. She married Raymond "Bud" Whitis and he survives. She was a homemaker. Surviving with her husband of Plainfield are two daughters: Diana Plank and Jennifer Gibboney; one son, Mark A. Whitis; one sister, Dorothy Patten; five grandchildren and several relatives in the Bedford and Bloomington area. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel, Indianapolis. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
