Baker Newspaper: Bedford Times-Mail Publication Date: March 11, 1999 =========================================================================== Gerald R. "Jerry" Baker of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on October 18, 1927, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Russell and Ruby (Lavender) Baker. He married Georgianna Toliver on July 6, 1952, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Jerri Lynn Stewart of Bedford, IN; one son, Jay Baker of Greenwood, IN; two sisters, Anne Keane of Mitchell, IN, and Joan Bond of Ingalls, IN; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by this parents, one brother, Reid Baker and one sister, Helen Farmer. He was a maintenance worker at Central Foundry and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, the Serenity Club, the Bedford Senior Citizens, the UAW Local 440 and the American Legion Post 250. Services for Jerry Baker will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 15th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Sam Schlie officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with graveside military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 250, Mitchell. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. ===========================================================================
