T. ALLEN, near Berwick, Warren county, Ill., in the 31st year of her age, MRS. JANE A. QUINBY, consort of IVORY QUINBY, Esq of said county. MRS. QUINBY was the daughter of BENJAMIN W. ALLEN, Esq. (illegible) of Oneida county, New York, spent several years of the early part of her life in Ashta- bula county, Ohio, and came to this State with her father's family in the year 1835. She was a woman of more than ordinary mind, of very agreeable manners, and was greatly endeared to all her acquaintances. The long and painful illness preceding her death, was borne by her without complaint, and she conversed frequently and cheerfully on the subject of her approaching dissolution. She uniformily expressed a willingness to die, when it should be God's good pleasure to take her hence. Up to the very last moment of her earthly existence, she retained her senses, conversing with her friends, and rejoicing in the prospect of speedily meeting that Crucified Redeemer, in whom she had long since reposed her trust. Hers was a living faith, and her death was, consequently, most happy. The scene, to those who witnessed it, was truly solemn and affecting, but full of sublime and heavenly hope. It seemed a fore- taste of that bliss, which the righteous may hope to enjoy, in the mansions of the blest. She has left a kind and devoted companion, and a large circle of relations and friends to mourn her loss. ===========================================================================
