         DIED -
         
         On the 17th inst., MRS. AMANDA, wife of MR. J. W. PERDEU,
       in the 20th year of her age, leaving one child. Her loss
       will be felt not alone, by a tender husband, but by rela-
       tives and friends who are numerous. She was in the full
       enjoyment of her Christian belief, at the hour of her de-
       parture, and she could say, "Blessed are the dead which
       die in the Lord."
