Since last May he had been a patient sufferer with the disease which finally caused his end. The deceased was engaged in the painting and decorating business in Bloomington practically all of his life. He served as tax collector for two years prior to his death and was an active member of the G. A. R. He was also identified with Odd Fellows lodge, No. 77, and was a faith- ful member of the First Christian church. Mr. FRANK was born in Somerset county, Pennsyl- vania on October 27, 1845, and was married to Miss ELIZA A. LAPE on February 9, 1871. He was a member of the 145th Illinois volunteers in the civil war and never tired of telling of his ex- periences in that great conflict which finally united the north and south. He leaves his wife and the following children: Mrs. MAUD B. RADFORD, CLYDE E., EDWARD R., ROY L., Miss MAE FRANK, WILLIAM A., and Mrs. ROSE M. SMITH. He also leaves three brothers and three sisters: MICHAEL, EDWARD and JOSEPH FRANK, Mrs. JOHN SMITH, Miss SARAH and Miss JULIA FRANK. ==========================================================================
