W. L. BANKSON DIES Veteran Blue Mound Pastor Expired Wednesday Morning. Blue Mound. Jan. 1 - (Special) - Rev. W. L. BANKSON died at his home in Blue Mound at 7 o'clock Wednesday morn- ing. He had been in failing health for a number of years. For forty-seven years Mr. BANKSON was in the ministry of the Cumberland Pres- byterian church. Most of the time for thirty years he was pastor in Blue Mound, the church there having since become ex- tinct. For several years past he has not been in active work, his health being in poor condition. Most of his life was spent in Macon and Moultrie counties. He was born in Fayette county, Illinois, September 3, 1836, the son of PAYTON and NELLE BANKSON. He was married October 26, 1865, to MARTHA A. ADAMS. Three children were born to this union. He is survived by his wife and three children, THOMAS L., and NELLIE BANKSON, of Blue Mound, and W. A. BANKSON, of Hartford, Kas. He was a member of the A. F. and A. M. No. 682, and of the I. O. O. F. The fun- eral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church, in charge of Beaumanoir Commandery, No. 9. Burial will be in Waltz cemetery. ==========================================================================
