Saturday, 8 May 1886

         JOHN CLAYPOOL, one of the best known farmers
       of Grundy county, died at his residence on
       Saturday last, at 9 o'clock A.M., aged 49 years.
       He was the second white child born in Grundy
       county, and a man of considerable wealth and
       standing.
