Friday, 11 July, 1873

         WM. JURY, the mate of the schooner Arcturus,
       accidentally fell into the river and was drowned
       last night, at 10 o'clock, near State street
       bridge, where the vessel lies. The body was re-
       covered this morning and taken to the Morgue,
       where the Coroner will hold an inquest to-day.
