EDSON, at his residence in South Chicago, Jan. 10, 1885 Funeral Tuesday, Jan. 13, 7:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's church, thence by cars to Calvarly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Milwaukee Sentinel Tuesday, 13 January, 1885 CAPT. SAMUEL EDSON, who commanded the barge Metacomet, of the Inter-Ocean Transportation company's fleet, last season, and who formerly commanded the Merrimac for several years, died at his home in South Chicago, on Saturday night. His death was very sudden. The funeral takes place today in Chicago. CAPT. EDSON leaves a wife and family. ===============================================================================
