ROBERT BROWN, the husband of the first named woman, was arrested last evening during his wife's trial, and jailed on the charge of va- grancy. He is said to have admitted to the po- lice when arrested that he had been making his living during the past two months in this city by gambling. He had about $50 in his pocket when arrested, together with a good supply of dice. This morning he was given ten days at labor, and preferred to "lay out" the sentence rather than pay his fine. JIM BURTON who was arrested last night on the charge of disturb- ing the peace and fighting a woman in a Smoky Row brawl, pleased not guilty to the charge and his trial will be this evening. ===============================================================================
