RACHEL GRIGGS were brought to this city Tuesday morning from Eldora, Ia., accomp- anied by Mr. and Mrs. L. F. BURGESS, with whom she was living at the time of her death. Deceased was born in Cincinnati, O. Nov. 18, 1834 and died Sunday Jan. 23, 1910. She was the wife of P. D. GRIGGS, who for many years was a prominent farmer of Maquoketa township and who upon returning from farm life, took up a residence in the Fourth ward of this city. A daughter, MRS. L. F. BURGESS and two sons, IRA of Corvalis, Ore., and ED of Eminence, Mo., survive her. She was buried in Mt. Hope. ===============================================================================
